First Impressions
This level is certainly a sub-standard creation, so read on to find out exactly why.

Design / Visuals
The architecture of Vader's Journey was extremely poor. The level was a series of huge boxes with absolutely no detail whatsoever. In many places, really long rectangular hallways run for about two miles, and massive open areas are occupied with nothing but a few guys and consoles. If you take a look at the screenshots, you'll see what I mean. There were no beams, windows, or anything you see in a level these days, only boxy rooms. Thankfully, there were a couple of simple ramps, but ramps nonetheless. Also, a button or two were sunk into the wall, but that was the extreme extent of detail. The texturing as also a disappointment. Clashing textures were placed with each other, and there was very little variety at all. Textures on large walls repeated thousands of times, making for a horrid appearance. Over all, a very poor job was done on architecture and texturing.
Dynamics / Interactivity
The level's dynamics were just as disappointing as the architecture and texturing. Rebel troops were everywhere, and they shot 5 rounds a second at least. There were so many men, the level would be impossible without cheat codes. Also, there were very, very few powerups, and those that existed were just laying around on the ground. No shelves or tables existed to put them on. You play as Darth Vader (although you look like Kyle) and you hear Vader breathing throughout the level. There were key doors, a few elevators, a forcefield, and a button door, but that was the extent of enhancements. Nothing stimulating or otherwise interesting to bring the level to life was included by the author.
Playing Experience / Atmosphere
The atmosphere was the third disappointment of the day. The huge series of boxes hardly allows you to get into the level, and since it's impossibly hard, it's no fun. The gameplay consisted of putting on cheat codes, running through, and in one spot crawling through a vent to get around a forcefield. Lighting was of the unfortunate one-tone variety that plagues many levels, so don't expect too much there.

Final Thoughts
I do not recommend downloading this level, unless you just want to see for yourself.
