First Impressions
This level is interesting, as it takes place in a cultural center. It's pretty fun to explore the facility and view all the artwork on display. Read on for the whole story...

Design / Visuals
Level Design in Cultural Center was adequate. There weren't any deficiencies, but architecture was a bit plain. A few beams and more rooms with good textures would make this level a lot better. The sectors would be more interesting if they were not all rectangular and boxy. The author should try adding octagons, and definitely take advantage of sloped surfaces to make the architecture more eye-catching. Texturing was also average. The texture choices were pretty good in most places, but there were a lot of color map problems. Also, in many places, the textures didn't match up, and I don't see how something that obvious could have been missed. If these problems were solved, it would make things a lot nicer. The lighting wasn't very interesting, and it had a few problems. The sub-terrainian area was too dark to enjoy. The rest of the level was dim, with little change. Varied lighting can go a long way to making a level more interesting, so a little work on it would improve the level greatly.
Dynamics / Interactivity
Enemy placement was not good. There were only a few enemies, but they were all extremely difficult to kill. I also saw at least five of Boba Fett, which I thought, was a little strange. Five sets of Mandalorian armor would bankrupt a medium-wealthy planet, even if you had sources to get them. These enemies were hard to kill, and they had advanced weaponry that you did not. I swear that Bossk's rail detonator was modified so that it would explode where you were when he fired, so even if you hid around the corner, he still hit you. This area was too difficult to be fun, but normal enemies would make it more enjoyable. Power-ups were lacking though, in quantity and quality. First off, there were only a few med-kits and batteries around for the most part, and even those were not around much. There was a super shield, but you couldn't get to it without getting lit up. More shields and weapons at the beginning would have helped. I felt that the COGs were pretty good. There were slash grates, a door or two, breaking glass and vocals from Mara. They made the level more interesting, which is what we want.
Playing Experience / Atmosphere
The level was pretty realistic with a few exceptions. The five or six Mandalorians were the main problem. The area you start in is also strange. It's an enclosed room of rock. How Mara got there, I have no clue. If the Shrike were parked nearby, that would help a lot. Detail was lacking, unfortunately. There weren't beams or eye-pleasing shapes that added to the level. The actual gallery was pretty nice, and I liked all the pictures, but the rest of the mission was pretty plain. As much as I liked the gallery, the rest of the level just did not totally pull me into the Star Wars universe. I found a few places with terrible, terrible HOM. The extremely difficult enemies also brought down the playability score, but otherwise, the level was okay. I'm pleased to report that this level had no fatal errors or crashes, so functionality is perfect.

Final Thoughts
I felt that Cultural Center was pretty good. The main attraction was the gallery, which I liked very much; however, the rest of the level could be improved. The author could work on the textures and color maps, and overall just adding details like beams etc. Perhaps this level could be released again after a little work as a more interesting fun version. I'm sure it could be done, and I encourage the author to do so.
