First Impressions
Well, first impressions were very nice... playing as Bossk! Excellent, time to stick it to Chewbacca, although people who've read 'that book' might find it a little out of taste. (However, the level IS dedicated to good ol' Chewie...)

Design / Visuals
Architecture was good, very good, in fact so good that it brought my PIII 500 with a TNT2 card to it's knees, rendering some parts almost unplayable. But the scenery was well worth it. Although part of the level was 'borrowed' from the Tree Canopy MP level, the greater majority was origingal, but, to tell the truth, it was hard to tell where LEC's architecture ended and the authors' began. If you've read 'Heir to the Empire' or seen the mostly atrocious 'Star Wars Holiday Special' then you'll know what it looks like, and this level looks exactly like what I expected. Chewie's house even looks like the one in the HS. There were huge scenes with trees, ramps, walkways, houses and everything else you'd expect. This level was one of the first times I've seen HOM (the hall-of-mirrors effect) due to the detail (if JK/MotS senses too many adjoins, it automatically turns some off to conserve framerate). Texturing was not as good as architecture, although still decent. There were only a few different textures plastered all over the level: the customary wood and foliage textures, with little variety. To be fair though, it was set in the same general tree area (all the trees on Kashyyyk are interconnected) so it wasn't that bad.
Dynamics / Interactivity
The minute I saw my first weapon was a Concussion Rifle, I expected trouble, and I was right. There were a ton of enemies, and due to both the extreme distance they were from you, the CR's kickback, and the framerate drop, I found myself dying and/or plummeting to my death often... The power ups were 'juuuuuust right' since when I was about to die, there was a revive waiting for me, although it led into it's own set of complications... The weapons were quite good too, although I never found the need to change from the Concussion Rifel. The final duel was great as well - having just fists was a novel idea. There were quite a number of enhancements, such as Bossk's ship, the 'Hound's Tooth', all the enemies and civilians were wookies, the player model and sounds were changed, plus there were some nifty cutscenes.
Playing Experience / Atmosphere
The lighting was (surprise, surprise) well done also, although a little dark for what I'd consider a civilized city. There were shadows, bright areas, and everything in between. Ambient sounds were here and there, although not as frequent as I would have hoped. As for gameplay errors, unfortunately as I've already mentioned this level has them. There were the framerate drops and HOMing, which detracted from the experience.

Final Thoughts
Definately get this, as it's good fun, as well as being a nice tribute whenever you get nostalgic for Chewie (grr, it's terrible, cashing in on emotions like that). Click the download link now!
