First Impressions
Basically this level amounts to a saber duel, with some exploring to do first. I'll excuse it because there have been two previous levels in the series already, and this level just tops it off.

Design / Visuals
The architecture was similar to the previous two levels, not amazing enough to bring the game down to a slide-show, yet solid enough that I didn't find myself having an Adventure in Box-Landâ„¢. There were pillars, slants, ponds, overhangs, and other little goodies that made me enjoy the level up to the duel. Texturing was also very good, as the chosen textures complimented each other well, although some of the textures were used a little too much.
Dynamics / Interactivity
I'd have to say enemy placement was nigh on perfect. Because of the enemies and health pickups, just before the duel I was back on one hundred health. Of course, I had lost all my shields, but that doesn't really affect the duel. There were bacta tanks, health packs, and shield recharges spaced around the level in little clumps, as well as a few traitorous Imperials. They were mainly Storm Troopers, although there were a few Officers and Commandos to boot. As for the Jedi himself, he was pretty good with new sounds, a new skin, and of course, the ever popular double saber. He seemed to strike a little harder than normal, but that was probably because of the double edged saber. The enhancements were mainly the Dark Jedi, and a few new sounds, and a few new doors.
Playing Experience / Atmosphere
Atmosphere was pretty good, with a soundtrack in the background, and a few ambient sounds, although the lighting was a little bland, and coloured lighting was only used a few times, and mainly in the cantina. I was expecting a little more from a 'mountain-top home' and this level felt more like a proper town with the traitorous Imperial as the governor, or something. I also thought it a little strange the way there were civilians around the place. Unfortunately, there was a bug, and it has plagued the other Battle on the Outer Rim levels as well; namely a force power bug, where they flicker and don't work properly. I believe this is due to the player having powers he shouldn't at that point in the game, that 'choose 3, choose 2' system. The framerate was pretty high all the way through, with no slowdown that I could detect.

Final Thoughts
Overall I feel that although this level isn't equal in quality to the previous two levels in the series, if you enjoyed them you'll enjoy this. Download now!
