First Impressions
This is certainly the best level I have played in a while. It's an exciting battle with some cool details.

Design / Visuals
The architecture of the level was quite good. Unlike most levels, I found an excellent amount of detail throughout the entire game. There were a lot of normal and sloped pillars, shelves, steps, and interesting windows, as well as some other peculiar looking pillars. The large cargo bay was exquisitely done; it had large support columns, an overlooking command center, and overall it just looked great. The level also had some outdoor areas, and for the most part, they were done well. Caves had rocky, uneven ground, and I even saw a few stalactites in one spot. In a few areas, however, I found myself traveling through dull canyons with little detail. The texturing was quite decent as well. In the indoor sections, the texture choices were chosen well, and they lined up correctly nearly always. There was decent variety. Outside, some textures were used over and over again, and it got a little boring. Furthermore, there were a lot of mistakes in aligning them. Despite a few weak small weak spots, Level Design was quite admirable.
Dynamics / Interactivity
Enemy placement for the level was also done well. In a few spots, the enemies got a little overwhelming, for example, in the cargo bay. On a high note, you had excellent weaponry and sufficient ammo to counter these threats. Unfortunately, snowtroopers nearly had a monopoly on placement. Other than an occasional officer, all you fought were snowtroopers, and more snowtroopers. Another small problem was that all of your enemies were in plain view, taking the "maybe he'll step out and stand there so we can blast him" approach. Rather, they are just standing around waiting for you. I prefer when the enemies are deviously placed, on ledges, in niches, so that a few of them can damage you. With good placement, you don't need as many enemies. The item placement was fair. There were enough, though you may be a little stretched at times. I saw a number of floating power cells and medkits, but there weren't any other problems. The whole series had a lot of enhancements. There was a lot of character speech, and there was ample use of button doors, and alarms. About the alarms though, I thought they were really annoying. Anyway, some cutscenes and your usual assortment of everyday COGs rounded out the enhancements.
Playing Experience / Atmosphere
The atmosphere was excellent. It felt like a cool ice planet, though it didn't remind me of Hoth. Hoth basically just has snow plains, but that would be incredibly boring, so I can understand the use of rocky canyons. A little tidbit of information for you: the capes on the snowtroopers looked really odd. After the troops died, their capes stuck up into the air. They must have starched those babies pretty good! The gameplay was good because you didn't just run through the level. You had to backtrack in some areas, and in others, it was necessary to jump up some ledges to get over obstacles, or jump into a river to progress through the level. Overall, the level was very fun and interesting.

Final Thoughts
This was a good quality level. I was quite impressed, and am looking forward to the next one in the series. Next time, I suggest, release it separately, not as a new packet of three. It's annoying having to go through the first ones (and also download again) to get to the one you want to play. Download this level now!
