First Impressions
The plot sounds pretty ordinary, and the level turned out to be pretty ordinary, as well.

Design / Visuals
The architecture in the level was ok. There were a few details, like stairs, bridges, and beams, and even some irregularly shaped sectors, and it would have looked quite good had it not been for the horrendous texturing. There were lots of stitching errors, as well as some HOMing. The textures just seemed to blend together, making it hard to see any features of the architecture and bad guys. With a little more variety and some better stitching it would have been a lot more appealing.
Dynamics / Interactivity
Enemy and Item placement was pretty good, although it leaned a little on the hard side of the spectrum. Quite a few times I found myself dying, which was a refreshing change from a lot of levels were I can just stroll through unopposed. The enhancements were a little lacking, as there weren't any new cogs or 3dos, and the only used cogs were a few doors and forcefields.
Playing Experience / Atmosphere
The atmosphere to the level was pretty poor, as the level was day bright throughout, and there was a distinct lack of ambient sounds. The level did feel like an Imperial base, though, to the level's credit, all sprawling, with different sections in different areas. Gameplay wise, the only error was the single HOM.

Final Thoughts
If you want a quick little jaunt through an Imperial Base, then downloading this level for a whirl won't do you any harm, but if you are expecting a truly amazing level, you will have to look elsewhere.
