First Impressions
This was an average saber duel. Read on to find out exactly what was good and what wasn't so impressive...

Design / Visuals
There was nothing in this level that I would consider real "earth shaking" architecture-wise. Though this doesn't mean that the level was bad, by now means, the texturing and overall architecture was very nice, there just wasn't anything real new or exciting about it. The level starts out with you playing as Darth Vader facing Obi-Wan in the hanger bay hallway. From there, you can continue the duel into the hanger if you wish. There was a lack of realism in the forcefields that blocked you from going to other parts of the level; some locked blastdoors would have made the whole setting seem a little more like the movie. Also, the elevator pit in the hanger is one of those nice bottomless pits, which took away from the realism because there would have been no bottomless pit there on the real Death Star. There, were no texturing problems, which was a nice change.
Dynamics / Interactivity
Enemy placement really shouldn't have applied in this level, however, the author decided to put some soldiers in. I consider this a mistake, as the way that they were added to the level was such that they don't respond at all to you. You're able to just walk up and cut them down and they won't even put up a fight. Sure, in the movies they just stand there and watch, but in real life they would have counterattacked or moved to defend themselves if they had been attacked. Item placement in this level was fair; there are a few items on top of the inner room of the hanger bay. A few health packs would have been nice. Also, if you go into the inner hanger bay room (the one where R2D2 and C3P0 are in the movie and cutscene) then you find out that they aren't there. It would have been a little more realistic if they had been there. However, this level really begins to shine when you see its cutscenes. They are probably the best cutscenes (besides LEC's cutscenes) that I've seen in a long time. Also, they last more than just a second or two and are nice and smooth, which adds a lot to this level. I especially liked the WAV files direct from the movies. While you're fighting, you get to hear Vader and Obi Wan talk to each other. I was really impressed by the level's ending cutscene, showing Luke, Han, and Leia battling it out with the stormtroopers. The Obi-Wan AI was fairly uninventive, always going straight for you, never varying it's single-minded tactics, though at least he actually fought you, unlike some other levels that I've played.
Playing Experience / Atmosphere
Overall, the level lacked realism. The cutscenes, while very impressive, don't make up for the unrealistic level. There were a few key things (listed in the paragraphs above) that would have really enhanced this level and made it one of the great saber duel levels, but without those it just seems a little bland. However, I am pleased to say that there were no major gameplay problems. I think that Obi-Wan tended to use Force Blind a few too many times, but that's just my personal preference. Overall, though, the author did some very nice things with the cutscenes and the WAV files, it was nice to see some well done movies and well integrated sounds.

Final Thoughts
The level's cutscenes were great, but as with all saber duel levels, it lacked the satisfaction of a good single player adventure.
