This level is set with Kyle on the light side of the force. Kyle had recently defeated Jerec at the valley of the Jedi. Even though defeated, the Empire still exists in the galaxy. Other dark Jedi have emerged as the leaders of the Empire. However, Kyle proves a threat to these new leaders, as he did to Jerec, so to lure him into a trap, the Jedi have captured Jan and held her on a heavily fortified space station.
