Background
Captain Kirk's log, stardate 6207.3. The Enterprise was returning home to spacedock to end our five year mission when we recieved a priority-one distress call from Deep Space Station K-4, located near the Romulan Neutral Zone border. Despite the fact that the Enterprise is due back to spacedock, I've been ordered by Starfleet Command to investigate. Upon arriving at Station K-4, we find that the station has been attacked heavily. Uhura has been trying to contact the station, but she is getting no response. Spock theorizes that the Romulans attacked the station, it being so close to the border. I'm beaming over Away Team Specialist Lt. Christopher Strickler along with his selected team, Spock, and Dr. McCoy to find out why and by whom the station was attacked...

Features
This project will be sort of Total Conversion. Every single aspect of the game will be new. I'm trying my best to not use any mats or 3dos from MotS to build the level.
  • A ton of new Mats and 3dos.
  • Ship Models, including the original USS Enterprise, a Klingon Battle Crusier, and much, much more.
  • New Weapons, including the hand phaser, phaser rifle, photon grendade, and both Klingon and Romulan weapons.
  • New usable and interactive items, like the tricorder and communicator.
  • New Character models/skins, from Starfleet to Klingon to Romulan.
  • Walk the decks of the original Enterprise, and even go on up to the bridge.
  • Music and sound effects from The Original Series.
  • Cutscenes, cutscenes, and more cutscenes!
One of my favorite features of the project will be the fact that instead of watching a cutscene of the main character get ready for the level, you will actually wake up in your personal quarters, go to the briefing room, get geared up in the armory, and beam out in the transporter room. Then, after certain missions, you can go to sickbay and get healed up by Dr. McCoy. I want the project to be as interactive as possible.
Status
I've been working on the project for about two months now, and progress is coming along quite good. I've made a total of 256+ mats and 70+ 3dos for just the first part of the level. I'm trying to do the whole project myself, but I may "hire" some people specialized in the areas I'm not too farmiliar with, such as making new weapons playable and making totally new enemies, pups, and keys. As soon as the first two levels are complete, I'll release those, although I'm guessing that the whoe entire project will be 6 levels, two released at a time. That is subject to change though. Expect the first two levels to be released some time in 2002.
